Don't you know that too: You're sitting in the office hungry and it's too early for lunch. Or are you on the go and just want a light, small snack in between? Or would you like to give the children a little treat that they can enjoy during the little break? Then the homemade popcorn fruit bar is just the thing:
FOR A BAKING TRAY
INGREDIENTS POPCORN FRUIT BAR
- 1 tbsp popcorn oil
- 30g Popcorn Corn Butterfly
- 50 g pithy oat flakes
- 50 g dried fruit (e.g. cranberries, apricots or figs)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 50 g chopped nuts
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- Liquid honey
PREPARATION
Line a baking sheet with baking or parchment paper. The popcorn as usual with the popcorn loop, but without sugar or salt.
Roast the rolled oats and nuts in a pan without fat for a few minutes, then allow to cool. Chop the dried fruit into small pieces. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat.
Melt butter in a pan and add sugar. Stir until it is completely dissolved. Stir in 1-2 tbsp honey, then stir in the toasted rolled oats, nuts, and dried fruit. Roughly chop the popcorn and mix in as well. Stir in enough honey to form a spreadable mass. Spread this about 1 cm thick on the baking tray.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes and immediately cut into bars. Let cool and then enjoy!
